On this Friday 18th January 2019 at Nobleza Hotel, Rwanda Energy Group launched findings from the annual Performance evaluation of branches and departments with the aim to ensure improvements towards better service delivery to citizens and efficiency in all the company’s operations.
This evaluation is part of the Performance Improvement Program from the January to December 2018. It aims at generating quick-wins in the transformation of the company into a highly efficient and customer-centric organization, whilst cementing performance based work practices and promoting a culture of excellence.
The program focuses on 3 main areas namely improving network reliability, improving response time to faults and ensuring that customer complaints are promptly addressed. An incentive and penalty mechanism is also used to promote collective responsibility and individual accountability among the staff.
It is expected that the program will shed light on areas where the company needs improvement including Network Availability, Revenue Collection, Loss Reduction, Efficiency of Operations, Talent Attraction or Retention, IT Systems and Automation, Skills Development or Enhancement and Performance Management.
