Scope

(1) Access:

(a) 25,438 households connected to national electricity,
(b)179 schools, 29 health centers and 25 sector and cells administration offices with access to electricity in the project area, by
(i) constructing 464Km of MV distribution lines and
(ii) 710 Km of LV network.

(2) Quality:

Sustained reliability of electricity supply existing and new consumers by:

1. Rehabilitating and upgrading of Gifurwe substation to 10 MVA; and
2. Construction of new Rulindo substation with 20 MVA capacity

(3) In-house capacity:

(i) Number of staff trained and improved sector planning and design preparation, improved financial management system and procurement handling in the executing agency; and
(ii)Reviewed energy sector policy and strategy
